ROLES FOR VOLUNTEERS:
- Mentors: Offer guidance, friendship, and practical support to refugees as they navigate their new community, providing assistance with language practice, cultural orientation, and integration.
- Language Support: Help refugees improve their language skills by conducting language tutoring sessions or conversation groups. Your support will empower them to communicate effectively and enhance their opportunities for integration.
- Job Readiness Coaches: Assist refugees in developing job-seeking skills, resume writing, interview preparation, and professional networking. Your expertise will contribute to their successful integration into the workforce.
- Event and Program Assistants: Support the planning, organization, and implementation of events, workshops, and programs designed to meet the specific needs and aspirations of refugees. Your enthusiasm and creativity will help create meaningful experiences.
- Administrative Support: Provide valuable assistance with administrative tasks, data entry, coordinating schedules, and managing documentation. Your organizational skills will ensure the smooth operation of our programs.
- Fundraising and Outreach: Contribute to fundraising efforts by helping to organize events, write grant proposals, or engage in community outreach activities. Your dedication will help secure the resources needed to support refugees effectively.
No prior experience is necessary—just a kind heart, willingness to learn, and a commitment to making a difference. We provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to all our volunteers.
