INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION:
As an intern, you will be actively involved in various aspects of our work, including:
- Direct Support: Engage directly with refugees, providing assistance and support in areas such as healthcare, education, employment, and social integration. Through your interactions, you will help foster resilience, empower individuals, and promote self-sufficiency.
- Advocacy and Outreach: Contribute to advocacy initiatives, raising awareness about refugee issues, promoting social justice, and influencing policies that positively impact refugee communities. Participate in community outreach programs to bridge cultural gaps and foster understanding and empathy.
- Program Development: Collaborate with our team to develop and enhance programs and services tailored to the unique needs of refugees. Contribute your ideas and creativity to ensure our initiatives are effective, sustainable, and responsive to the evolving challenges faced by displaced populations.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research, gather data, and analyze trends related to refugee populations. This will provide valuable insights to inform decision-making, measure program effectiveness, and contribute to evidence-based practices in the field.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Genuine passion for supporting and empowering refugees, coupled with a commitment to social justice and human rights.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively in multicultural environments.
- Empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a non-judgmental approach in engaging with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic and challenging environment.
- Relevant academic background or previous experience in fields such as international relations, social work, public health, or refugee studies is a plus.
